Privacy policy

Who processes your data

KOMYT GmbH, Strehlgasse 2, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland (hello@komytenergy.com) is the controller of the data collected on this website.

What data we collect, and why

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • your email address;

  • information about your sign-up: website language, the page and form you used, and the source of your visit (for example an advertising campaign);

  • technical data: IP address, approximate location, and interactions with our emails (opens, clicks).

We use this data to:

  • tell you about the KOMYT launch and related offers, including your 10% code;

  • send you brand communications, if you have agreed to receive them;

  • understand where our sign-ups come from and improve our campaigns.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you sign up and confirmed by double opt-in. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept until you unsubscribe, or for no more than 3 years after your last interaction with our emails. Analytics and advertising cookies last no longer than 13 months.

Who has access

Our service providers, acting as processors:

  • Shopify International Limited (Ireland): website hosting;

  • Klaviyo Inc. (United States): waitlist management and email delivery. Klaviyo is certified under the EU–US and Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework, which governs the transfer of your data to the United States;

  • Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Meta Pixel), for audience measurement and advertising, only if you accept them (see Cookies).

  • Shopify may also use certain data as an independent controller to improve its own services, including checkout and the Shop app, in line with its own privacy policy (shopify.com/legal/privacy).

We never sell your data to third parties.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for EU residents, the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to the processing of, and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@komytenergy.com. We reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland, the CNIL in France, or the authority of your country of residence in the EU.

Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels), in three categories:

  • Strictly necessary (Shopify): website operation, security, remembering your consent choices. Always active.

  • Analytics (Google Analytics, Klaviyo): website traffic and tracking your activity after you sign up.

  • Advertising (Meta Pixel, Google Ads): campaign measurement and targeted advertising. If you are logged in to a Meta or Google account, these tools may link your browsing to that account.

Analytics and advertising cookies are only set with your consent, wherever you are. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page.
